“We’ve been looking for an outlet like this for a long time,” New Jersey pro surfer-turned-Dark Fall Productions co-owner Andrew Gesler told ESM way back in 2008. Gesler initially served as consigliere for Alex DePhillipo’s first major film Dark Fall — motivating the crew, connecting the Jersey factions, and galvanizing Southern California industry outlets. “The camaraderie we have here is special, and we all want to share that with the rest of the world. Every place has a story and there’re a lot of different fibers here that are entwined with the center of our universe, surfing, and we’re trying to deliver a different piece of that larger message.”

“We are excited to announce our surf film/company Dark Fall Productions is turning 10 on February 16th,” Alex DePhillipo told Surfline, “and with that we are premiering our new short film (featuring Andrew Gesler, Balaram Stack, Sam Hammer, Rob Kelly, Tommy Ihnken and more) at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City, accompanied by a live musical performance by Pepper.”
